As we all know, the lacrosse community is very close, those who want to “Grow the game”, will do anything to do so. This is why thousands of individuals – players, parents, coaches, professional athletes – and more attend the US Lacrosse Convention each year

The LeagueApps Lacrosse team was extremely excited to head down I-95 to Baltimore!  Roy, Chad, Jenna, DJ and Louie worked months to prepare to meet all those that love the game just as much as we do! Our plan was to meet current and potential partners and we also organized a Happy Hour special with our partners, Aloha Tournaments.

Excitement continued to build as the date was getting closer and closer. The one and only thing standing in our way… Winter Storm Jonas! Meteorologists predicted this to be the worst storm the area had seen in some time. Quite the timing right? So we debated whether or not it would be safe for us to still make the trip. At the end of the day, we gritted it out and decided to head to Baltimore for what we named Storm Lax Con, and show Storm Jonas who’s boss!

Now while we made it safely, unfortunately weather forced many flights, trains and other means of transportation to cancel. For those that were able to make it, we did our best to meet as many people as possible and introduce them to the #1 lacrosse technology partner in the country.

It was also great to have some of current partners; Aloha TournamentsMy Lacrosse TournamentsBlatant EventsPaul Rabil and Raw Lacrosse, all there with us sharing the excitement and nervousness about the storm that was in the air.

Although the storm cut everyone’s time at the convention center short, it was great to make the trip down to Baltimore and really meet those who are contributing to the growth of lacrosse. We learned many things from our trip (A little secret … Chad doesn’t like to obey the traffic lines on the highway). The best contribution that we as a company can make is to be directly invested in the lacrosse community and make a direct impact to those who share the passion about lacrosse just as we do!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth or those that we met as we walked around the convention! It was truly great to learn more about all of the people and organizations we were able to meet! We cannot wait to see all of you next year! *Crosses fingers for no winter storm in 2017*
