LeagueApps Reporting tools can provide better insight and understanding for sports organizations. As part of our latest product release, we audited and updated our Reporting tools to make sure they are fully robust and in top form to dig into your data or export reports into .CSV.

First, we’ll review some of the reporting tools within LeagueApps.

  • Reports – Registration
  • Reports – Transactions
  • Manage – Members
  • Programs (Specific) – Members
  • Manage Accounts – Account Reports
  • Billing – Invoices

Below are some key ways that LeagueApps partners are utilizing our reporting tools to optimize their data within their organizations.

Financial Reporting & Accounting

LeagueApps partners often like to manage their accounting and reporting each month, quarter and year using our Transactions Reporting tool. The Transactions Reporting allows partners to view every payment processed through your site. This can help you reconcile all of your registration payments each month. Some of our partners have even imported the transaction report into accounting tools such as QuickBooks accounting tools.

Monthly invoice reports from LeagueApps also contain all payments (and refunds) that were processed through LeagueApps in the previous month.

Financial Projections

The same Transactions Reporting tool can help you make financial projections and analysis. You can pull reports for certain date ranges, allowing you to easily compare your transactions volume on a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis. Additionally, you can sort by items such as ‘Date Joined’ and ‘Last Login’ to gain more insight into how much growth your member database is experiencing, as well as how active your players are on your site.

T-Shirt Ordering

Many LeagueApps partners do their t-shirt reporting with our Registration reporting tools. T-shirt information is typically captured during the registration process, using customized registration form fields to collect shirt sizes and colors. You can then generate a shirt report for each individual program, or a bulk report for all programs (more on how to extract registration reports).

NOTE – Be sure to read our shirt-reporting best practices post, where we’ve outlined the whole t-shirt reporting process from start to finish using LeagueApps.

Sponsorships Information

LeagueApps reports allow you to track and analyze the information you collect from players with a just a few clicks. Customized member profile fields allow you to collect information from players when they create a site account, as well as when registering for a new program. This can be a good place to find out more about your players’ demographics (e.g. age, occupation). This type of information is invaluable for building relationships with potential sponsors or advertisers that are interested in reaching the members in your organization. Similarly, you can learn more about your player’s interests (e.g. favorite beer, weekend outing preferences) and plan for future leagues and events accordingly. Click here for more ideas about the type of information you can collect during the account-creation and registration steps.

NOTE – One of the recent reporting tool improvements now gives you the ability to search members via custom profile fields. This capability allows you to easily search your members and track them by certain information (e.g. favorite local restaurant!).

Marketing Segmentation

The LeagueApps Registration reporting tool can also be used to segment your member database. The reporting tool is a great way to drill into past participants in order to understand registration patterns by type, role, sport and frequency of registrations. For example, need to fill out a few free agent basketball league? Run a report of all individuals that have registered as a free agent for a basketball league in the past year to get a list of potential players. Be sure to utilize filters and save your most useful reports for easy access to them in the future.

Many of you probably have already figured out even more advanced ways to use these reporting tools. So let us know how your organization uses LeagueApps to help with various reporting use-cases.
