Happy 4th Everyone!!

Here’s an inside look at the new Theme Editor we recently launched:

You can now more easily control your site’s design using our new theme editor. This gives you the option to make your LeagueApps website 100% custom, and completely break away from the original LeagueApps look. You can customize design here with no coding skills. Or you can have your designer create an entirely new theme and styles for your site.

In your “Design” tab in the console, you’ll see a “Launch Theme Editor” button. Click it to access the new editor.

Basic Controls

The basic editor controls allow you to customize your colors, fonts, logo, and background images, as well as preview any changes you make in real time. The ‘preview’ feature comes handy here as you try out different fonts, color schemes, and images. We set up a generic sample page for you to make edits on.

You can upload an image to customize the following sections of your site’s homepage:

  • Logo
  • Header Background
  • Page Background

If you upload a Page Background, use the POSITION option to indicate where on the page you want to place the image. You can also use the REPEAT option to choose from various patterns to fill the page, including tile, repeat across, or repeat down.

Once you are happy with your new design, save your changes.

Adding Additional Theme CSS
You now have the ability to customize your site’s theme and styles. If you want to keep the default LeagueApps theme but alter a few pieces of the design, you can enter any CSS in the CUSTOM CSS field. This can be useful if you want to override your default settings, or style any new custom content that you add.

Turning Off The Default Theme

If you are comfortable with HTML and CSS, you can turn off the default theme and write your own styles completely from scratch. Here’s where you can really get creative!

For more details on how to use the Theme Editor, read our Help Doc article.

We hope our new Theme Editor makes for quicker and smoother site design. Try it out and tell us what you think!
