Editor’s Note: The Jr. NBA and Positive Coaching Alliance have partnered together to create a program designed to honor influential youth basketball coaches and the impactful work that they do for our game. The Jr. NBA Coach of the Year award is given to a youth basketball coach in an NBA team market who is making a positive impact on children by demonstrating outstanding integrity, character, and leadership. You can read about the program here.

The eight semifinalists for the national Coach of the Year award have been announced. These semifinalists were selected because they have not only been successful in bettering their athletes on the court but have also shown that their main focus was to make these athletes better people in their communities.

These coaches have established and fostered meaningful relationships with their athletes and their families over the years, and have incorporated valuable life lessons into every aspect of basketball they coach.

9 LeagueApps Lax Partners Announced In National Team Player Pool

US Lacrosse recently announced the 59 players that have been selected to try out for the 2018 United States Men’s National Team. Tryouts will begin July 10-12 in Sparks, Maryland.

Of the 59 players selected, 9 are partners of the LeagueApps Lax team. Additionally, Ned Crotty is the Director of Lacrosse and Paul Rabil is an investor of LeagueApps. You can read the full roster in this Inside Lacrosse article.

LeagueApps Lax Welcomes New Partners Big 4, LAXFed, Mad Dog, and Minnesota Loons

LeagueApps Lax welcomes four new partners on the platform this month- Big 4 Lax, Lax Federation (LAXFed), Mad Dog Lacrosse, and the Minnesota Loons.

Combined, the new partnerships include over 91 boys and girls teams, nearly 10 tournaments and showcases per year, and dozens of camps and clinics in over 10 different states.
